Default Stenicls in photohop

This is gonna be a simple tutorial on well making a stencil in photoshop.
lol


(1. )iight so theres our image were gonna wana make it very high contrast so that the colors are managable.



now u get something looking liek this.





(2). then go to //select>>/colorrange>>/ and then select your shadows or highlicghts depending on what u want it to look like.. i picked shadows. giving me this...





(3). now were going to clean it up and remove all the little things that dont wana work on stencils.

and heres my result ..the picture i did this with sucked but you guys get the point.

Nice, but I must say that it got alittle to "square:y?" in the end. But the beginning was great.

i was actually going to put in some text on the tanks bottom i think thats why i squared it out.

Could you perhaps show some work where this stencil techinque would be used? Im curious and want to maybe start implementing some of this.

i dont really want to but maybe if i have time ill get into it more detail with how to cut it out and post it then spray it..and so on . and even get indepth i dont know...i wana make a video tutorial like peter said though im thinking about making one right now.
