well, i'm bored so i wrote this tut now

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>Personal note:</span>
this tutorial is for EVERYONE,
u don't need programs ect
also it's not graphic related and it's not coding related...

ive seen many of my friends using a comp, that totally sucks
when they start up there computer
and the desktop shows up theve got million of icon's showed
really Its a waste

so maybe this can help some new guys, also experienced users to organise there computer

---------------------------------------

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>1. Desktop</span>
look, if u have a slow computer don't bother it using visual styles,
they fuc* up your performance, i said a SLOW computer
i' have a normal fast computer but i don't use it anyway
cause the basic windows xp style is clear enough for me

now, when u install programs, don't just click next - next - next
without knowing what ure doing, also look if there isn't a msg
saying "create an desktop icon"
really,
organising your desktop is much better

like when u want to start something, u don't have to waste time searching the icon, also delete unused icon's like programs u often use.

i only have destop icons of programs i use daily or weekly.

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>2. mapping, file ordering</span>
next thing, is when it comes to maps ...
when u want to make a seperate folder for some kind of files
let's make music for this example
don't create a map and leave the name "new map" give it a explained name
"music" for this instance.
and don't put the map in another map that don't fits like puting the music map into my images map as example
when u listen to music verry much (like i do :P) just put the map in my documents

when it comes to files ...
another thing i see often is file naming,
if u downloaded a file lets say a clown movie,
change the name to "funny clown" or something
but others then leaving the name lik "Movie01564"

it's easier to track down these files, and search them

<span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'>3. Cleaning & scanning,</span>
K, this is important,
u like a pc full of virusses, NO ! i thought so
many people install a anti-virus program and never using it,
k, whats the point here (just a waste of space for that mather)

one GIANT tip : SCAN OFTEN
i scan with a registery cleaner once a around 2 days,
and still it detecs problems, so if u never scaned in a month,
u could have a problem

virusses, they come unknown,
if u never use a viruse scan, don't cry when ure pc suddenly crashes
scanning once a week would do fine, tho scanning much more a week would be better.

also, another thing, clean up your pc often,
many people have files they never use or don't know they still have
when u have installed a game, and uninstalled it again
be sure to check if there aren't any files remaining,
most time the do, if u had costum files installed.
delete them, also delete programs u never use,
and songs u never listen to, ect
just clean up the things u don't need no more
usefull when ure low on hard-disk space
also delete files, using hard-disk-deleting (or something like that)

---------------------------------------

well thats around it for now,
there are more things to do to keep ure computer clean, fast and stable
but using these tips are at least a next step if u didn't know much about sorting things and so on,

if u still have any questions, leave a msg here,
send a pm, or mail me @ alwin.posavljak@telenet.be

With kind regards
alwin p.
