1. Open a new or existing document, for this tutorial i will use this picture
![]() 2. Creat a new layer, take the polygonal lasso tool, and make a selection like the one shown below Hint:Use the shift button, when making the selection to ensure straight lines. ![]() 3. When you have done this, right click inside your selection and select "Select Inverse" Now full this selection with black. (using Alt+Backspace is an easy shortcut for more experienced users) 4. When this has been done, right click the layer, and go to blending options. Set the layer to the following settings ![]() ![]() ![]() 5. Then set the opacity to around 70. You should now have something like so ![]() 6. Now you can use the Eliptical Marquee Tool or the Rectangular Marguee Tool to make selections, and then press delete to create a look like so. ![]() Thanks for reading this tut and comments would be greatly appreciated =) |
