Default Pictual Competition - Best Signature

** CONTEST NOW CLOSED **
Voting taking place in this thread - http://www.pictual.com/viewtopic.php?t=1998

** CONTEST UPDATE **
The contest will now end on Monday 27th March as i'm going to be away for the 22nd March. Plenty of time to tweak your entries to perfection.

For the attention of signature designers, let battle commence.

We are running a competition for the best forum signature. You will have 14 days to get a signature completed and ready, and the best (by public vote) will win a $10 cash prize (payable via PayPal). The two runners-up will each receive a free domain name registration of their choice to display their graphical skills (yourchoicehere.info).

The rules are simple, only registered members may enter, so make sure you sign up if you wish to enter. To confirm your entry please post in this thread. The competition will end on March 22nd at 9PM GMT. Signatures must be completely new and unseen, no entering your current signature! Signatures should be no more than 100pixels tall and 500pixels wide.

Thanks and good luck to all, we hope to see some great entries.

James

The forum has been merged restored and grown so i'd like to repost to encourage people to enter once more.

All signature fields have been reset as to give everybody a fair starting ground.

Ok, question... Are we allowed to enter more than one image?

Here is my signature. I did it tonight on Adobe PhotoShop (Which is hell for me, because I am a dipstick with complicated graphics programs lol...) I was looking at a few tutorials so I can make a really cool border, and even though I followed it step-by-step it didn't come out correctly so I compensated So all in all it took about an hour and a half

How is it?

P.S.: For those of you that are unaware, that is the original SG-1 team of Stargate SG1.

Edit: Well, I have the time so let me just tell ya what I did.
  • I got the original image from here: http://www.scifi.com/stargate/downloads/
  • I obviously resized.
  • I added the solar flare thingy.
  • I found a tutorial on making cool borders, but it didn't work
  • I added the text.
  • I did some of the things the tutorial told me to do for the border, on the text, edited it a bit, and got good results
  • I took the image to mspaint and I added the black and white border.

If I can keep doing good on this photoshop thing a may submit a graphic or two everynow and then lol.

That looks pretty good really.

Although this rule was not in place before, the maximum signature size is now 500x100 to be considered for entry so you will need to resize.
